So now we know what they are, the question is, why do so many people (over 5 million, at last count) choose Invisalign over other affordable clear braces/aligners? What’s more, because they’re about as inconspicuous as dental braces for adults can get, they’re also extremely popular. The aligners themselves are made from a BPA-free plastic which is both lightweight and clear, so when they’re worn over the teeth, they can prove difficult to spot. But before we dive into examining the competition so to speak, we really need to clear something up… So as an alternative, other companies have sought ways that patients can have cheap clear braces. But as the self-proclaimed market leader in the removable aligners sector, they aren’t the cheapest of orthodontic appliances. Anyone who is actively seeking ways to straighten teeth has probably heard of Invisalign. ![]()
